Scholarship Benefits

A Chevening Scholarship typically covers a range of expenses including university tuition fees, a monthly living allowance, travel expenses to and from the UK, an arrival allowance, a homeward departure allowance, the cost of one visa application, and a travel grant to attend Chevening events in the UK.

Qualification Criteria

To be eligible for the Chevening Scholarship, candidates must meet the following criteria:

– Citizenship: Applicants must be citizens of nations or territories that are eligible for the Chevening Scholarship.
– Residency Requirement: Upon completion of the scholarship, recipients are required to return to their country of citizenship and reside there for at least two years.
– Academic Qualifications: Candidates must have completed all requirements for an undergraduate degree by the time of application. This degree should qualify them for enrollment in a postgraduate program at a UK university. Typically, this equates to an upper second-class 2:1 honours degree in the UK, although requirements may vary based on the chosen subject and university.
– Work Experience: Applicants must have a minimum of two years’ worth (2,800 hours) of job experience.
– Offer of Admission: Candidates must have received an unconditional offer from one of the three eligible UK university courses they applied to by July 13, 2023.
