Qualification Criteria

For MSc Programs:

  1. Academic Qualifications: Hold a minimum of a Second Class Upper (2.1) in their first degree or a Second Class Lower (2.2) with relevant industry experience.
  2. National Youth Service Corps (NYSC): Have completed the mandatory National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) program.
  3. Computer Literacy: Possess proficiency in computer skills and technology.
  4. O-Level Credits: Hold a minimum of five O/level credits, including English Language and Mathematics.
  5. National Identity Number (NIN): Have a verified National Identity Number (NIN), indicating official identification.
  6. Additional Requirements for PhD Programs: a. Research Proposal: Provide a relevant and well-defined research proposal outlining the intended doctoral research project. b. Letter from Vice Chancellor: Obtain a letter from their Vice Chancellor confirming that they are not currently receiving any other scholarships or financial aid.

Applicants must meet academic, practical, and credential requirements, along with demonstrating computer literacy and possessing a National Identity Number. PhD applicants need to submit a research proposal and a confirmation letter from the Vice Chancellor, emphasizing research excellence and academic standards for doctoral candidates. These criteria ensure scholarship recipients are well-prepared for advanced studies and research contributions.

Application Instructions

Prospective applicants are required to complete the online application process, during which they must upload scanned copies of essential documents. These documents include their First Degree Certificate or Statement of Result, National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) discharge certificate, results from examinations such as WAEC/GCE/SSCE/NECO, a recent passport photograph, a Local Government Identification Letter, and, for PhD applicants, a Master’s Degree Certificate and evidence of membership in professional associations. The application deadline is set for March 18, 2024.
