Scholarship value/inclusions:
The scholarship offers varying values ranging from $2,500 to $15,000, with a duration of 1 to 3 years. This financial support is applied directly to the recipient’s tuition fees for the selected undergraduate or postgraduate programs. The scholarship amount may be credited either at the time of offer or upon completion of the enrolment process.
Eligibility:
To qualify for the International Excellence Scholarship at the University of Waikato, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Plan to enroll full-time in either an undergraduate or postgraduate program at the University of Waikato.
- Have received either a conditional or unconditional offer of admission from the University of Waikato. This includes offers for degree pathways that include certificates such as the Certificate of Attainment in English Language or Foundation Studies.
- Possess a minimum equivalent GPA of B+ in the qualification used for admission to the University of Waikato.
- Not currently be enrolled in any undergraduate or postgraduate program at the University of Waikato, and have not yet paid any fees at the time of application.
- Not be sponsored by any external body to attend the University of Waikato, nor be participating in a Guaranteed Credit Arrangement, or enrolled through a study abroad or student exchange agreement.
